A team

JHA's team approach to architecture starts with client collaboration.  Client participation is an important component of Ms. Holan’s design process and it informs all important decisions.  During initial meetings, the clients’ visions, needs, and goals are clarified and refined to get the best design solutions for their project given budget, time, and site constraints.

Early in the design phases, Ms. Holan also consults with a number of associates so that careful programming, thoughtful planning, and economic considerations are understood by the entire team. Structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well as landscape architects, surveyors, Title 24 consultants, and lighting designers, are often critical to the success of a project.  During construction, Ms. Holan works closely with Contractors to assure smooth and timely project completion as well as to control costs.

Sensitive attention to detail is a trademark of the firm’s work.  It's the result of a team approach to architecture that produces high-quality, affordable projects, reflecting clients’ ideals as well as their lifestyles.
